Zeta Tau Alpha - Pink Week
October was breast cancer awareness month and to mark this event, the women of Zeta Tau Alpha sponsored Pink Week from October 13th to October 17th. The highlights of Pink Week included decorating the campus in pink, t-shirt sales, a health panel, Mr. Jewell, and Pink Out. Zetas decorated Yates-Gill Union with pink Christmas lights, streamers, banners, and balloons. Students, faculty, and staff were reminded daily of breast cancer awareness when they walked across campus and saw pink ribbons on the buildings, pink water shooting from the fountains, and a pink breast cancer ribbon spray painted on the grass of the quad. The ladies of Zeta Tau Alpha distributed shower cards and breast cancer ribbons to raise awareness among the college students. Over 350 t-shirts were sold campus-wide to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation. Mr. Jewell, a male beauty pageant, was also used to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation. The week ended with a successful Pink Out in which the campus was filled with students wearing their pink t-shirts. The women of Zeta Tau Alpha would like to thank all the sponsors of Pink Week as well as all the students and faculty who made it a success!
