A message from the Class of 2009
With so many worthy organizations in need of support this year, we are grateful to those who have chosen to invest in William Jewell. Having benefited from their support, we understand how the Power of One leads to the strength of many. Just as they helped provide us with the resources we need to be successful, our senior class wants to do the same for those who follow in our footsteps. In the biggest Senior Promise campaign to date, 62 percent of the Class of 2009 made pledges to give to the Jewell Fund when we become members of the alumni community after graduation. Last year, 22 percent of alumni supported the College financially. Four years ago, only 17 percent were supporting the College annually. We can do better. As you may know, President David Sallee has announced that all Jewell Fund gifts received this fiscal year will go directly to student scholarships. As the College’s fiscal year approaches its end on June 30, the senior class would be proud to have you join us as the “strength of many” that is putting the Jewell Journey within reach for more students. Sincerely, Elizabeth Bonney ’09 Senior Promise Campaign member
